Very easy, in the weight selector we have two lines, the black and the green. The black one is with the Z bar, and the green one would be with the straight bar. Because they have a different weight. So in the first position with the lever on the first disc we would be with 6 kg and 800 g, and if we want to go up the weight we have to choose the disc where we want to leave the lever.
So it would simply be to lift it, rotate it and pose it, if for example we set the selector at 15.9kg on the black weight line we would have 15.9kg for the Z-bar and for the straight bar we would be at 18.18kg, as indicated on the green weight line.

Well, it works very, very smoothly. You just have to move the selector and choose what you want.
The material is very robust, it is all iron, the pin is iron, you can perfectly leave the weights on the floor, it means that it is not a delicate material. What you do have to do is leave them in place if you are going to select a weight, but otherwise you can use them as you like without any fear of the discs coming loose.

The truth is that I very rarely put more than 30 kg to do exercises with the straight bar or Z-bar, unless on the bench. Because as I always start with the Bilbo Set, I usually get by with the 25kg.
With 25 kg I can do my Bilbo Set in Bench press and then the rest of the training is pumping, so I rarely get to load more than 36 kg. Even so, for that I have the Z-bar where I can put the discs. And there you can put 50, 100, 200 kg.
But well, I can tell you that in all this year and the year before I don’t think I’ve trained any day with more than 36 kg on the Z-bar. So for me it is a perfect material to have in the gym at home, because it saves you a lot of space and best of all for me, for not riding the disks on the bar.
